About Kabir Institute of Public Health
KIPH is one of the youngest institution of Gandhara University, it aims to provide teaching, research and service programs that trains the doctors to address the public health needs. This set up will develop academic excellence in the teaching, research and academic freedom, leadership and service to society and thrust it in the right direction. We want to produce competent, committed and skilled public health professionals and discover and disseminate new knowledge in the field of public health. We want to make sure that the knowledge is transferred to the next generation and not wasted.
KIPH aspires to become a regional center in Public Health training, policy formulation and applied research that is nationally and internationally accepted. The college awards MPH degree to its students, who have successfully completed 2 years of education.
A Journey Towards Public Health Excellence
Our History
Established in Jan 2010, the youngest of all the Gandhara University Institutions was founded with the view to bring positive changes in the health sciences and to take upon the challenges faced by doctors. It was long felt, that not enough emphasis was given to public health sector and the need for a recognized institutions had been around in Peshawar.
The need for Master in Public Health was always felt and KIPH was planned for this degree. As a pioneer in private medical education and development and progress in its DNA, Gandhara University planned Kabir Institute of Public Health and today it is the first and only PMDC recognized institution offering MPH degree in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
