Pathology is the mother of all medicine” The course in general pathology presents a scientific study of disease, the scope of which goes far beyond the mere recognition of lesions by naked eye and microscopic appearance. The genetic basis of some diseases, such as those associated with biochemical and chromosomal abnormality, and the environmental basis of many others are discussed in the overall context of the causation of illness. The Body responses to noxious environmental stimuli, the inflammatory reaction, the immune response, neoplasia and principles of homeostasis constitute an important part of the course. It is broadly divided into 4 sub groups ;

  2. Haematology
  3. Microbiology
  4. Chemical Pathology
