Course and Admission Critaria
ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR B. SC (HONS) PROGRAMMES
Eligibility:
The qualifications required for admission in B.Sc (Hons) Programmes is as under:
- At least Second Division in F.Sc Pre Medical/ F. Sc Medical Technology in respective filed or equivalent to this course from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
- Citizens of all administrative parts of Pakistan and abroad
NOTE: Only those applications will be considered for admission, which are given on the prescribed form.
INTERVIEW:
- All the applicants are interviewed to assess their suitability to complete the degree programme and pursue a career in health sciences.
- At the time of interview, the following original documents must be provided.
- Detailed Mark Sheets of Secondary School Certificate (SSC)
- SSC Original Certificate/ Equivalent qualification verified by IBCC.
- Detailed Mark Sheets of F. Sc Premedical/ F.Sc Medical Technology in respective field.
- Domicile Certificate
- Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)/ Form-B
- Character certificate last obtained from education institution
- 4 Passport size photographs
NOTE: On receiving the offer of admission, the students are expected to deposit the admission fee (non-refundable) and tuition fee within the prescribed due date. If the fee is not submitted within the specified date, the admission will stand cancelled.
SYSTEM OF EXAMINATIONS:
System of examination is annual
ASSESSMENT AND PROMOTION RULES
- Annual examination of all the classes shall start form May / June each year.
- The minimum gap between two consecutive papers will be one day.
- Percentage of pass marks in each science subject will be 50% and 50% in practical / VIVA.
- Percentage of passes marks in each arts subject will 45% good policy.
- No grace marks allowed in any examination.
- There will be only two professional university examinations in a year i.e. annual and supplementary.
- No student will be promoted to higher classes unless he / she pass all the subjects of pervious class.
- Written examination will consist of MCQ’s (one best type) short and long essays, in essay type question there will be one choice out of three questions.
- Supplementary examination will be held after 40 days from the date of declaration of annual results.
- In all the professional examinations, sufficient time shall be assigned practical work to test the thoroughness of the candidate’s knowledge and practical skills.
- No student shall be eligible for a university examination without having 75% attendance of lecturers, demonstration, tutorials and practical work the result of each examination shall be declared within 05 days of the last practical examination.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The following rules and regulations will be applicable to all students who are on the role of institute.
TITLE
- These regulations shall be called the regulations related to the conduct of the students, maintenance and breach of discipline.
- These regulations will be applicable to all the students who are on the roll of the institute.
DEFINITION:
- Students (Trainee) mean a person on the role of the Wazir Muhammad Institute of Paramedical Technology, Gandhara University Peshawar.
- “In-discipline” means any act, which disturbs the good order of the institute or is derogatory to Islamic moral values or is otherwise declared to be an act of indiscipline under these regulations.
- “Expulsion” means cancellation of admission of a student / trainee debarring him from re-admission at least for one calendar year.
- “Rustication” means dismissal of a student from the rolls of the Wazir Muhammad Institute of Paramedical Technology, Gandhara University Peshawar for one or more calendar years or the remainder of the current year in which the order is passed and barring the students to appear in the final examination.
- Termination means cancellation of the admission for ever.
STUDENTS CONDUCT:
- Every student of the institute is expected to lead a life total commitment to Islam in acquisition of knowledge, toleration, honesty, hard work and good relationship with his colleagues, teachers and staff of the institute.
- All students shall be regular and punctual in their academic work and follow the instructions of their teachers and the authorities of the institute.
- All students shall co-operate for the promotion of an atmosphere of peace and orderly behavior in and outside the institute
- Students are not allowed to involve in activities like sectarianism or to form union or any student’s organization.
ATTENDANCE:
- It is essential to achieve 75% attendance (in each subject) during the training period, failing which; the student will not be allowed to appear in the final examination.
- The student who remains absent from the class without any valid reason/prior permission will be fiend Rs.30/- per day.
- If a student remains absent without permission for six consecutive days, his name will be struck off the Institute roll and re-admission would only be allowed after re-submission of admission fee.
LEAVE:
- The Institute, will observe summer vacation every year however, the office will remain open.
- No leave will be permitted to the students during the course of training except on compassionate or medical ground.
UNIFORM:
- The students are required to come to the institute in prescribed uniform, which is as follows.
- For Boys: White shirt with Gray Pant (in winter Black Coat / Sweater).
- For Girls: White Shalwar with white Coat (in winter Black Coat / Sweater).
- Without uniform the students coming to the institute will not be allowed to inter the college or attend the classes.
IDENTITY CARD:
- The Identify Card is issued to every student after admission. It carries photograph of the concerned student and is duly signed by the principal stating particulars of the student.
- The card must be kept by the trainees and produced on demand.
- Duplicate cards are not issued except under special circumstances on payment of Rs.100/-
